Well this is the team that stood last in the ipl table in the 2008 season... and now they are at the top of the table... winning all the four games they played....
This year along with change of there logo, dress and anthem they even changed there fortunes.... now the team is looking more deadlier and all the players are playing together...
Last year even though having many heavyweights like GIBBS, SYMONDS,AFRIDI,VAAS and GILLY. the team failed to do well as only a handful of players had done well..... in the 2008 season only R.P.SINGH, ROHIT SHARMA and ADAM GILCHRIST had performed...
now lets review the 2009 season... the bowling which was the weaker link last year had become very positive by the addition of FIDEL EDWARDS... this right fast bowler had bowled very nicely... in the match against KKR he bowled 4 overs and just gave 6 runs... R.P.SINGH the man with purple cap had been bowling with that perfect swing and giving the perfect breakthroughs...PRAGYAN OJHA this hyderabaadi spinner had spun a magic in this season added to them there are ALLROUNDERS like VENUGOPAL RAO and DWAYNE SMITH who are both helpful with there bowling and pinch hitting.... then in the batting there is the deadly opening pair with GILCHRISHT and GIBBS.... the best in the i.p.l.... GILLY and GIBBS have been giving the start that any team would dream off.... then comes our VERY VERY SPECIAL V.V.S.LAXMAN even though he had not performed well this season may be in future matches he may do well.... the he is followed by ROHIT SHARMA... the leading run getter for chargers in the last season...known well for his for pinch hitting...
Well seeing the way the team is performing it is seems obvious that the chargers can go to the knockout stage very comfortably.... and hope they win this ear.... well all other teams beware the CHARGERS are coming with a big bang....
